Title: The Foragers Desk

Medium: Installation

Collaborators: Paige Robinson, Daisy Thurgood and Victoria Kelly

The Foragers Desk is a collaborative installation that I worked on with two fellow artists, Daisy Thurgood, and Victoria Kelly.

"As a trio we have been exploring different environments around Southampton. We have collected materials from these places and decided to capture them in specimen jars for people to explore. We have arranged the desk to share some of the exciting and beautiful aspects of our journey.

The walks themselves were visually stimulating but also helped us to form a bond. We began to talk about our thoughts and feelings whilst on the walks. This led to us creating individual works in response to our experiences. Which are also displayed with the collaborative work. This piece has been a joy to create and has helped the three of us to connect with each other and nature. We hope that it helps you to do the same." - Group statement.
